Purasana Kombucha Matcha
This kombucha with natural matcha flavour is a light-brooding fermented drink based on green tea.
Like all kombuchas, the brewing process starts with tea leaves, water and sugar. The manufacturer then adds a symbiotic culture of bacteria and yeasts (SCOBY) to the brewed mixture. In order to grow good bacterial colonies, the SCOBY (or 'the mother') eats the sugar out of the tea. Kombucha is certainly not a source of sugar.
Through fermentation, the polyphenols in the tea are converted into, among other things, organic acids, which gives the drink a slightly sour taste. Another by-product is carbon dioxide, which gives kombucha its characteristic effervescence.
Using the kombucha with matcha
Pour the kombucha into a glass and let it rest for a while. Do not shake the bottle! Excess carbon dioxide can be eliminated by swirling the kombucha in the glass. Drink 100-150 ml of kombucha twice a day to enjoy its benefits. Your body will need some time to get used to the fermented particles. Not suitable for women who are pregnant or breastfeeding.
TIP: Try the mocktail with kombucha matcha, lime and mint!
Quality
Purasana's kombucha is brewed according to an authentic recipe. Carbon dioxide is created by the fermentation process and is not added afterwards.
The drink is contained in a light-proof plastic bottle so that the kombucha remains 'alive' and can absorb the pressure of expansion in warmer conditions. Of course, you want to avoid this expansion, so after opening the bottle, always keep kombucha in the refrigerator.
The sediment at the bottom of your glass is a residue of the SCOBY. It proves that you have a quality fermented drink in your hands.
