Organic Raisin Blue Thompson
Thompson raisins are dark brown raisins with a sweet taste. They are larger and slightly less sweet than the Sultana raisins, but you can use them in exactly the same way. Thompson raisins are almost completely dried grape; the little bit of sunflower oil is only added to keep the raisins from sticking together. Raisins contain a relatively high amount of potassium, even more than bananas! In addition, raisins are very rich in the mineral boron. As a quick snack, raisins are a favorite of both children and adults, but they are also delicious as an ingredient in all kinds of dishes. For example, bake oatmeal raisin cookies, or make a delicious tagine with raisins, apricots, and chicken or vegetables.
